Today was the first flight since devoting myself to aviation. The weather this week has been foggy in the morning, so when the fog started to thin, I started planning. I chose Airglades primarily due to its low fuel price.
The planned flight time to Airglades was 45 minutes, but I’m trying to make each flight three hours, so I needed to add some time to the flight. On the way to Airglades, I extended the flight west to LaBelle before turning back towards Airglades. I noticed a road leading directly towards the airport and followed it (see the track below).
As I approached to enter the pattern, I had to make a diversion. There was a guy in a Cessna doing touch-and-goes and he was about to turn crosswind, so I did a right 270-degree turn to make space, then entered the downwind behind him.
After landing, I taxied to the ramp to get fuel. There was a guy in a Bonanza at the pump, so I stopped nearby and waited. While waiting, I updated my location on Social Flight and watched as a bulldozer and other heavy equipment worked on a new ramp extension nearby.
After filling up the tanks, I was back in the air. To extend this leg, I flew northeast towards Stuart, then followed the coastline back to Valkaria.
The flight tracks are below.
Flight Time: 3.0 hours
Total Time: 670 hours
