CFI-A Lesson 20 (Part 1)

The last full lesson before stage check and CFI-A certification. I've been spending a lot of time preparing for this lesson. It covers all of the pure memory items that don't have a lot to do with flying, but more with instruction and instructor responsibilities.

We covered professionalism, lessons, lesson plans, flight reviews, and endorsements pretty thoroughly. We will continue this lesson next week by hitting the Fundamentals of Instruction, Part 91 of the regulations, and incursion avoidance, plus some aerodynamics.

The lesson lasted three hours, with a fifteen minute break in the middle. I was happy to find that I was aware of an Advisory Circular that was not mentioned in the Pratical Test Standards book. It is AC 61-98 and covers flight reviews, proficiency checks, and additional endorsements that a flight instructor may give a student or pilot.
